Fulton Sheen Thoughts to Contemplate

From Little Catholic Bubble, is a reading from Bishop Sheen's “Seven Last Words and the Seven Virtues” . This book, published in 1933, could be describing with uncanny accuracy the situation today. In one of its excerpts, Sheen wrote, “We are at the end of a tradition and a civilization which believed we could preserve Christianity without Christ, religion without a creed, meditation without sacrifice, family life without moral responsibility, sex without purity, and economics without ethics. We have completed our experiment of living without God…”Fulton Sheen

Monthly Liturgical Calendar now available. (view)

Since its dedication, Saint George Catholic Church has been a sacred site embodying the dreams and aspirations of hundreds of southern Utah Catholics.

Situated at 259 W 200 N (a block north of Saint George Blvd.), its Masses are held daily.

New parishioners are of course always welcomed!

We are one community nourished by the Eucharist. As the body of Christ, we are led by the Holy Spirit to know, love, and serve God and one another.

Welcome New Parishioners

Welcome new parishioners, snowbirds, and visitors; we'd like to meet you. Please join us in Kuzy Hall for coffee and doughnuts on most Sundays, following the 9 and 11 am Masses. See Parish Family brochure, located in Church foyer, for Liturgical Ministries and Parish Groups.

Prayers are asked for Our Armed Forces and their families. We also ask prayers for all the victims of abortion, our seminarians, and those in need of our prayers.
